Well I decided that I’m really serious about taking panoramas forward and knew that with my current lens it wasn’t really possible without a lot of editing and hours of hair pulling to get it quite right. I realised that a fisheye would be a great way forward but wasn’t too sure which one to go with. After much deliberation and research not to mention picking of minds. Greatest help was Tim over at Ultrawide who has produced some amazing HDR little planets with a Tokina 10-17mm fisheye.
I decided it was between that and the Nikkor 10.5mm realising that a brand new lens would be out of my price range i went looking to ebay to find a second hand one. Unfortunately the Tokina only seemed to be shipped from Hong Kong which I wasn’t happy withbut the Nikkor seemed to have quite a few people were selling the Nikkor lens. After 2 weeks of bidding wars I finally won it today and am going to collect it tomorrow so I can use it over the holiday weekend.
